Are you part of a group or club that gets together regularly? A cycling or crafting group? A book club or bridge club?
If yes, we hope your group will consider supporting Mariposa House Hospice by having each member chip in a small amount each time you get together. These small amounts will add up to big results!
This initiative is called “Si’s Challenge” because our Board Chair and dedicated volunteer Dr. Si Lowry came up with the idea of using group activities as an opportunity to support the hospice. Any type of club or group is invited to participate – some examples include cycling, crafting, book club, bridge club, running, games night, cooking group, motorcycle group, etc. The sky is the limit!
There are several options for how to make donations as part of this Challenge:
- Each person makes their own small donation online each time you gather (you can also participate on your own)
- Take turns donating online on behalf of your whole group
- Fill a jar and drop it off in person
Click here to donate online. Please be sure to choose “Si’s Challenge” in the drop-down menu and provide the name of your group in the additional comments section. An annual prize will be awarded to the club that donates the most throughout the year!
Mariposa House Hospice relies on donations from our community to continue providing quality end-of-life palliative care with compassion, dignity and respect in a peaceful homelike setting. If your group would like to learn more about our organization, we would be happy to schedule a 20-minute Zoom presentation. Please contact info@mariposahousehospice.com for more information.
